Following a career spanning over 45 years across London and New York, Walter Gubert retired in June 2020 as Vice Chairman of J.P. Morgan Chase and Chairman of Europe, Middle East and Africa for the bank.
Walter joined J.P. Morgan in 1973 and became one of the key architects of the bank’s transformation into investment banking. During his tenure, he developed the firm’s capital markets business initially in the US, and subsequently in Europe. Walter was also responsible for developing J.P. Morgan’s international M&A business in the early 1990s.

Before founding Novum Capital Partners in 2018, Gabriele was a Managing Director at JP Morgan in Geneva, where he built a client portfolio of over USD 4 billion across 30 families.
Gabriele’s specialty is advising his clients on their full balance sheet including all aspects of wealth planning, portfolio management and credit advice (including mortgage, jet, yacht and art financing, as well as complex credit deals).
Between 2011 to 2016, Gabriele served as a member of the JPMorgan Private Banking Advisory Council. He started his career at BSI in Lugano and moved to Geneva, where he led the bank’s advisory team.
Gabriele holds a degree from Bocconi University in Milan.
